Quite unusual overcoat! Any ideas of his branch of service, period and rank?

I guess infantry, looks like a M1916 uniform, period would be somewhere during WW1, 1916-18/19, rank is sub-lieutenant.

Thnaks, Mircea! And what about his overcoat/jacket? I suppose he wears non-regulation civilian piece, but with shoulder boards attached. Am I right?

Looks like a ”vânători” Lt-Colonel from the Regimentul 2 Vânători ”Regina Elisabeta”, uniform is most probably a M1927, the black band he wears is for King Ferdinad who passed away in 1927.

Dear Colleagues

Recently acquired collection of photographs of the Romanian royal army soldiers.

I want to identify them. Recently, my interest in the Romanian army has appeared. Unfortunately, I really do not know much about the Romanian uniform. Those books that I have mainly in Romanian. Therefore, do not judge strictly for stupid questions.

Please help me to research this collection.

I would be very grateful.
