I'd like to share with you a lot of photos and documents belonging to General de corp de armată Ion Boiţeanu.

Photo No.1 Portrait is dated 1935 on reverse.

Here he wears a M1931 tunic and a M1930 cap.

He also wears the M1931 Military Academy Badge.

Andrew, I don't know what happened with him post-war, usually all the generals were arrested, maybe this was also his fate, maybe not. He died in 1946, this means that he „escaped” a very long prison sentence like all the other Romanian generals, guilty or not they all were sentenced to 15, 20, 25 years to life in prison.

2. Ordinul „Coroana României”, cu spade, în grad de Cavaler, Decret Regal nr. 2968/ 29.IX.1916.

3. Ordinul „Coroana României”, civil, în grad de Ofițer, Decret Regal nr. 1244/ 10.V.1881.

4. Medalia „Semnul Onorific al Ofițerilor” Decret Domnesc nr. 1075/ 5.VI.1872 (18 years - silver/ 25 years - gold).

5. Medalia „Avântul Țării” Decret Regal nr. 6247/ 7.XI.1913, no classes.

6. Medalia „Crucea comemorativă a Războiului 1916-1919” Decret Regal nr. 4690/ 6.XI.1919.

7. Impossible to tell, maybe Medalia „Bărbăție și Credință” Decret Regal nr. 2583/ 12.X.1904, three classes - 1st/gold, 2nd/silver, 3rd/bronze.

8. Impossible to tell, maybe Medalia jubiliară „Carol I” Decret Regal nr. 3584/ 28.XII.1905, no classes.

One more photo from estate of General Ion Boiţeanu. I assume here we have a portrait of his aide-de-camp.

 

He wears a M1927 gala uniform (grenade on buttons suggests: infantry), rank of Sublocotenent. Cap is M1930.

The type of aiguillette he wears is typical of gendarmes (white) or border guards (green).
