Румынские пулеметчики / Romanian machine gunners / Mitraliere

Recommended Posts

Пулеметчики, 13 октября 1943 г.

Machine gunners. October 13, 1943.

As far as I can see they wear the M1941 troop field uniform (straight cuffs), the machine guns are the M1930 7.92mm ZB light machine-gun, produced under licence also in Romania.

On the back (strange hand writing, difficult to read): Cu martiru din Tulcea pe ziua 13 Oct. 1943. Vă rog să nu mă uitați Ion Hârboeconu(?) translation: With the martyr from Tulcea on 13 Oct. 1943. Please don't forget me Ion Hârboeconu(?);

Nice photos, both are pre-war, because they wear the troop M1933 tunics, judging on the second photo with the M1930 7.92mm ZB light machine-gun, I would say photos are taken somewhere between 1938 and 1939. :smile:
